#ZipOdes are back! And we’re happy to have designed the 2021 campaign with @omiamifestival for this national poetry month of April.
_
The Zip Ode is an original form invented by O, Miami and @wlrn in 2015, “designed to transform zip codes into occasions for place-based, lyrical celebration.” It’s is a five-line poem about your zip code, in the form of your zip code. Write the numbers of your zip code down the left-hand side of the page. Each number determines the number of words in that line.
_
This is annual South Florida-based initiative is open for entries now through April 21st. Visit omiami.org for details.
_
Notwithstanding being based in South Florida, ZipOdes has traveled all around the United States, including Orlando, Toledo, and Boston, and has been featured on media outlets such as The Takeaway and The Washington Post. O, Miami and WLRN welcome organizations and media outlets using the zip ode as a free, open-source tool to connect with their communities. (Just credit them if/when doing so!)

Topos Graphics, founded in 2005, is a collaborative design studio with offices in New York and Atlanta. We answer client challenges holistically through multiple means: logo design, branding, motion graphics, print collateral, publications, signage, social media, environmental graphics, and objects. Guided by ideas, we create positive impact with thoughtful and formally precise work.

We previously served as Creative Directors at New York’s Jewish Museum from January 2014 – September 2019 and currently oversee design for all programming initiatives at Miami’s Oolite Arts.

In 2019 we entered into a partnership with the Baltimore- and New York-based design studio Post Typography. In our new partnership, Post Typography principals Bruce Willen and Nolen Strals serve in an advisory role, continuing to work with select clients in collaboration with us, while they still pursue new opportunities independently. Read the full press release here.

Email us to introduce your project. We’d love to hear from you.
